For
healthy workplace
relationships

Our aim is to help as many people and organizations as possible to maintain healthy and motivating work environments.

In the event of a difficult working climate, incivility, abrasive behaviour, psychological or sexual harassment, abuse of power or discrimination, we will explore with you the most effective options to help you resolve tensions in a sustainable manner.

With over 25 years of experience and thousands of interventions as ombuds, coaches and mediators, we offer a personalized approach and assistance that is tailored to each situation.

Services

Ombuds services

The ombuds acts in an impartial, neutral and confidential manner. The ombuds can intervene informally through coaching or mediation or make recommendations to the organization when an internal process has not been applied fairly.

Ombuds services are offered to all individuals within organizations that have mandated us to do so.

To find out everything there is to know about ombuds services, go to the www.tonombuds.ca/en/ platform.

Mediation

Mediation allows two or more people to discuss and find solutions to their dispute together with the mediator’s help. The process is confidential, and the mediator’s role is to help re-establish communication between the individuals and find lasting solutions.

Mediation is useful to resolve conflicts within an organization (between managers, professionals, employees, etc.) or with external stakeholders (suppliers, contractors, volunteers, etc.).

Mediation is also highly useful to prevent or resolve personality conflicts or situations involving incivility, harassment, abuse or discrimination. It can facilitate a person’s return to work when a disability is related to tensions in the work environment.

Coaching

Coaching in conflict prevention and resolution allows leaders, managers and HR professionals to discuss complex situations (toxic work climates, multiple complaints, etc.) and to define the most appropriate approaches to deal with them and resolve them.

Coaching also enables a person directly involved in a difficult situation to resolve it on their own, with tailored advice and assistance.

Training
and conferences

We only offer specialized training in relation to the prevention and effective resolution of disputes. Here are some examples:

Successful negotiations

This training is aimed at understanding and mastering negotiation styles as well as adapting strategies and tactics to achieve win-win outcomes. The pedagogical approach combines theoretical concepts with practical cases to optimize learning. The development of new skills is accelerated by video-recorded role plays, feedback and coaching.

The training is offered over one or two days. The cases and scenarios are adapted to the organizations’ issues and contexts.

Prevention and constructive resolution of conflicts

This training in conflict prevention and resolution aims to help participants better identify and understand the sources of conflict and respond constructively to them in order to achieve successful outcomes. The pedagogical approach combines theoretical concepts with practical cases to maximize learning. Participants will share lessons learned in order to change their behaviour and define the actions required to transfer and use the newly learned skills in the workplace.

The training is offered in a one-day format. Cases and scenarios are adapted to the organizations’ issues and contexts.

Relational health at work, a precious asset

This one-hour conference focuses on the human, financial and social impacts of effective and responsible organizational conflict management. Through concrete examples, it is demonstrated that mastering basic concepts turns tensions into opportunities that are within the reach of all organizations.
